I used to, but not anymore. Actually, one of my friends says it's her lucky day.

Nothing but pure rubbish! it's just another day as Paul McCartney said in one of his songs. There's a word for those who fear this number, triskadecafobia, that's fear of the number thirteen for those who've never heard of that. But anyway I'm one of the many who don't take stalk in this whole Friday the thirteenth, as far as I'm concerned it's like every other day, nothing special.

Nopers don't follow Friday the 13th at all. I was supersticious at one point when breaking a mirror spawned bad luck. I did that in 99 to go visit my first boyfriend and broke my mirror when I swung my duffel bag over my shoulder, it the bag hit the mirror and the mirror fell off it's stand breaking. They say 7 years bad luck, lol and here we are in 05, 7 years later :) of course I did date 2 other guys before the 7 years were up. So it's not all real.

smile, there's one superstician I followed, and actually I don't see any rhyme or reason to why this has to be the case. When you have a baby, it is said to be bad luck to have the pram in the house before the baby is born. I don't know why that is or where the story came from, but none the less when I bought my pram I kept it at my mother's house until the baby was born. I realize this exercise was, in fact, totally pointless, as, if one were to ever have another baby, one would just re-use the buggy you had for the first one, and you wouldn't send it out of the house now would ya! grin

at first, i do not believe friday, and 13th will be a unlucky day. but do not know why, on thursday itself i've a kind of strong feelings that tomorrow is friday and its 13th, black friday. i tried to ignore myself for thinking that matter but thats really happened to me. i had my college orentation on yesterday itself. but the bad news is it was my first day of college and its my last day of college as well. i did not get the fund or so call financial support. my funding was rejected badly and cause of that, all my lovely dreams was gone at ones. what a black friday.

Season, ouch, that's a nasty one. And from further up the board, I think it's actually triskaidecaphobia. But yes, not particularly superstitious over here, though I don't really have a problem with it either. I think people in general have their own little superstitious faiths that they cling to, whether they're the usual ones like ladders and black cats and cracks in the pavement, or a lucky fruit-loop that they kept. The silly one that I tend to is a fear of jinxing something by presuming the outcome before it happens, with extra bad-luck if it's said out loud. I even knock wood. Nonsensical, but there it is.

I used to somewhat believe in Friday the 13th being a bad luck day, and I guess that still stays in the back of my mind, but I don't do anything specifically for or because of that day. And Resonant, I believe in that jinxing stuff also. One time, I was chopping some vegetables, and I cut my finger. It turned out my mom was worried I'd do that but just didn't mention it because she said I'd just say "I know what I'm doing." But I told her she should've told me instead of just thinking it. SO now she does and I feel better about that. *smiles* I also have that thing about the mirror, and opening the umbrella inside a house. I won't do that. *smiles*
